MEET AWA’S FEMININE SIDE, MISS GORGEOUS
Remember the Blankman? AWA’s own superhero? Clothed in red and renowned for his on-mat skills almost as much as his tomfoolery outside the ring. If you’ve been frequenting the recent AWA events you’ll have noticed a big change in his persona. No more “Stupid Mumparrah” anthems, instead his entrance is accompanied with a wickedly exuberant remix of “I’m a Barbie Girl”. It doesn’t end there either. Gone is the hero cape, in its place a fluffy pink boa. Instead of his hero mask, Gorgeous goes Au Naturale and supplements it with a pink vest, hot pants and black stockings. A super pair of red boots finishes off the one time super hero’s ensemble – but there’s no doubting the impeccable skill set the athlete beneath the garb possesses. As for the crowd who loved him, well it’s no longer just the women he gets riled up anymore – Miss Gorgeous has easily doubled ‘his’ popularity in general. Ever the clown, don’t let his softened demeanour convince you of anything other than the fact this flexible fighter is highly capable of taking down his opponent, albeit in his own unique style. We’re sad to say that even in this new guise, he still suffers a penchant for doing the splits. Scary.
